This isn’t the first time I’ve heard seriously bad things about this guy– don’t be fooled– he’s a RINO (Republican In Name Only) — listen to the people that worked with him in his state in real life… not just his polished, clever talking points during debates…

Guess somebody knows–

This is a lot bigger than the regular media outlets are reporting– a hell of a lot bigger.

Mean Green 1Mean Green 2

Gas guzzlers? Think again! They’re getting 40MPG AND BETTER!

On tonight’s show I spoke of a man named Jonathan Goodwin who dropped out of school at 7 and starting tinkering with cars–similar to a man named Thomas Edison, but he toyed with batteries. Anyway, Jonathan has found ways to make muscle cars not just MEAN but GREEN!

Here’s the article. (Requires Adobe Acrobat, or a PDF viewer).

PS. The Hummer pictured above runs off of multi fuels: biodiesel, diesel, natural gas, propane, hydrogen, E85 ethanol–or a combination of those gases!

DON’T TELL ME THINGS CAN’T HAPPEN.

Tuesday, November 6th is your chance to adjust the sails in your community (and by that I mean VOTE IN CHANGE) — not that I’m advocating change, or suggesting that we need change in our communities… wink wink.

In any event, here are some important numbers:

New Hanover County Board of Elections:  910-798-7330

Pender County Board of Elections:  910-259-1220

Brunswick County Board of Elections: 910-253-2620

And, of course, my email (just in case you want to rant):  jmeccia @ gmail . com

Patriotically Yours,

Justin

Whoops!

Pictured (from Left to Right): Senator Barack Obama, Govenor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton, and Ruth Harkin.  What is rather funny, outside of what may actually be insulting, is the standing democrats apparently are not united on where they are looking.  While Obama, Hillary and Harkin are looking somewhat in the same direction, what in the world is Richardson looking at?

More, tonight at 6, on The Big Talker FM.  (93.7 & 106.3 FM)

As I announced this evening on the air, this week will be my last on TownHall: The Peoples Forum.

Simply put, I have to leave because I can not be available during the show hours any longer– I was forced, after trying my hardest to make something (anything!) work on a 9-5 basis, to take up work where I could get it, and that unfortunately meant having to end my co-hosting of TownHall.

I am so grateful to all of you for everything you’ve given to this show; I’m proud to have been a part of it, and feel fortunate for the great times we’ve had on Thursday and Friday nights. I know this audience is among Southeastern North Carolina’s finest, and I know your efforts to make this community a better place are working in real and measurable ways.

While Justin carries forward with everything that is great about The Peoples Forum during Thursday and Friday evenings,

I’m proud to announce that I will be launching a brand-new show on Saturday afternoons from 2PM-3PM, called CounterpointYou can expect some more lively discussion about all the issues of the day, and a perspective that might just make you think twice about the way things are vs. the way things ought to be.

I hope to see you there!!!

Matthew David

It would be awesome if our local paper had this kind of ethical conviction…

Breathtaking Abuse of the Constitution

Joe Arpaio, Andy Thomas and Dennis Wilenchik hit New Times with grand jury subpoenas

By Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin

Published: October 18, 2007

This newspaper and its editorial staff — both current and former — are the targets of unprecedented grand jury subpoenas dated August 24.

The authorities are also using the grand jury subpoenas in an attempt to research the identity, purchasing habits, and browsing proclivities of our online readership.

It is, we fear, the authorities’ belief that what you are about to read here is against the law to publish. But there are moments when civil disobedience is merely the last option. We pray that our judgment is free of arrogance.

end quote…

Looks to me like another example of how easily the system can be abused at the local level, and how we must ALL focus ON OUR OWN BACKYARDS, lest it happen here….

Supporters of the proposed downtown Wilmington convention center argue that the center would bring more traffic to the area helping the surrounding businesses. Even if that were so, is it worth over (insert Austin Powers voice) 100 million dollars?

How about something that clearly benefits the entire coastline, gives Wilmington another unique characteristic and costs about $93 million LESS!?

read about here.

discuss it tonight, 6-8 PM on 93.7 & 106.3 FM.

NAACP seeks monetary reward for descendants of 1898 riot in Wilmington…

. . . . Carolyn Q. Coleman, a National NAACP board member. She added that the national board has made a resolution calling for the recommendations to be passed.

“What we do here today and what you do in Wilmington after we leave from here will show the nation whether we’re serious about dealing with our past and making our present and future better,” she said. . . .

Doesn’t that mean you start dealing with the vast and obvious group of problems facing black people TODAY, instead of crusading for a paycheck over something that happened 109 years ago?

These people make me sick… and this explains in crystal-clear detail why race relations are still forced to be an ugly issue– these interest groups want it that way.

Why continue to face backwards? Who wins when racemongers force us all to constantly relive the horrible, but long-past, misdeeds of our ancestors, shaking down governments and companies for historic misdeeds?

No one. (except them)

We need to attack and deal with the problems of TODAY. All of us.

Don’t get distracted by this drivel. Leave their racist hyperventilating in the history books, where it belongs.

We need to snap everyone out of this reactionary trap and stop playing this game. We should be over this by now… it’s 2007 and counting…

Remember, October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Molly Maid (one of the show’s sponsors) has stepped up to the plate with the Ms. Molly Foundation. If you’re interested in supporting this awesome cause please email Jim & Noreen at Molly Maid by emailing mollymaidofwilm @ aol.com. Molly Maid matches in part, or in whole, the total contributions throughout the month of October. All proceeds go to benefit the local shelter, The Open Gate. Thank you for your contributions!
